Connect ActiveCampaign
This is how Webinar Studio sends your webinar leads through the ActiveCampaign API into the right list — with the matching tag. Connect once, then pick the target per webinar.
In short: You connect ActiveCampaign ONCE using your account URL + API key. Which list and which tag applies is decided per webinar.
1
Get API access
ActiveCampaign shows you the account URL and key in one place.
- In ActiveCampaign: Settings → Developer.
- Copy the "URL" (your account URL, ending in .api-us1.com or similar) and the "Key" (API key).
2
Connect in Webinar Studio
Enter your credentials — no target yet.
- Open Connections → select ActiveCampaign.
- Enter your account URL and API key → Connect. We fetch your lists and tags in the background.
You do NOT pick the list and tag here — you do that per webinar.
3
Prepare list & tags
So your contacts are sorted correctly.
- In ActiveCampaign, create the list your leads should go into (if it doesn't exist yet).
- Optional: tags for your audiences (e.g. "gardening prospects").
Why keep them separate? Several webinars with different audiences → give each its own list + tag.
4
Assign it in the webinar
For each webinar you decide where the leads go.
- Webinar → Step 3 (Emails) → "CRM targets for this webinar".
- Under ActiveCampaign, choose the list and optionally a tag.
- Save — leads flow into this list, plus the event tags automatically (registered, attended, no-show, offer clicked).
Nothing selected = nothing sent.
Opt-in recommendation: Confirmation + follow-up emails via our system (double opt-in on); handover to ActiveCampaign is also possible.
